HumanCare is a French registered charity, founded in
2003. Our mission is to help with locally staffed and
managed health and agricultural programmes in South
Nepal.
Nepal is one of the world’s 10 poorest countries,
on top of which the country is also suffering from a
ruinous Maoist guerrilla war. Ten years of fighting
and violence have wrecked havoc and greatly destabilised
the country.
Because of the war, most international charities have
ceased their activities and left the country. We, in
HumanCare, have decided to stay and to continue our
work with the Nepalese people.
HumanCare employs 12Nepalese who staff and manage the
projects in Nepal, another 2 employees are French, looking
after project funding and overall management from France.
Our Franco-Nepalese team is young, professional, skilled
and experienced. We support local initiatives and use
every opportunity to have the local people themselves
involved in the projects.
A Chartered Accountant looks after our book keeping
and financial reporting, we will happily give our donators
all and every information on the use made of their funds.
